Jaipur in My Mind

Posted by Keller & George at 2:00:00 AM in Marco Bicego (26)

It's the cultural hub of ancient India and, up to this day, Jaipur never fails to mesmerize the first-time visitor. The "pink city," so called because of its pink-painted sandstone walls, houses, and palaces, is an ancient capital of Rajasthan protected by massive fortresses. It attracted artisans and skilled artists during its heyday to create one of ancient civilizations' impressive collections of stone carving, sculpture, silver jewelry, gems, blue potter, and ivory carving, to name a few. Its products were transported via the Silk Road and, later, the Indian Ocean, a prize possession by many European, Arab, and Chinese royalties. It's this cultural richness that inspired Marco Bicego to create one of his popular themes, the Jaipur Collection,  hand-cut gemstones framed by gold. It depicts the depths of Jaipur arts and its multi-faceted past.

3 New John Hardy We Love

Posted by Keller & George at 2:15:00 AM in John Hardy (29)

If you've been a John Hardy fan ever since you got to wear it for the first time, it's no surprise. Perhaps, like many of its clients, you've been watching its latest collections to get one more reason to buy a John Hardy. Here are three of our favorite latest items from this signature. The Bamboo Narrow Flex Cuff elevates this classic John Hardy line to a new luxurious level by encrusting the cuff with tiny diamonds. Whilst the sterling silver gives it more opulence this Bamboo-inspired jewelry maintains the simple elegance of the collection. The Naga Large Scale Bracelet lives up to the collection's mystic aura. A pair of South African ruby eyes create an impressive accent to this silver and 18k gold bracelet. Lastly, the Dot Narrow Cuff reflects John Hardy's contemporary fusion with its solid silver and 18k gold body, accentuated by bold beads.

How We Became the World's Most Industrialized Country

Posted by Keller & George at 2:00:00 AM in Ball Watch (26)

When historians cited the railroads as the harbinger of America's industrial age, they miss a little historical fact what made the trains effective and efficient. Digging deeper into the stories of the Gilded Age, one will discover that behind the massive U.S. railroad systems that made the transport of raw materials and goods from coast to coast possible---thus, putting in motion the big cities that we have now in both coasts and inland---was a small piece of gadget, the Ball Watch timepiece. At a time when train collisions threatened to bog down the railroad system and slow down the industrial age, U.S. railroad officials turned to Webster Clay Ball to create a precision engineer's watch to help train engineers keep a tight lid on their schedules and avoid collisions. This timepiece would soon become the renowned Ball Watch of today, a watch that not only symbolizes accurate time-keeping, but also a small piece of our history as the most industrialized nation on earth today.

Red Day Event

Posted by Keller & George at 2:00:00 AM in Hearts on Fire (27)

Kristin Cavallari wore a stunning Hearts on Fire necklace at the Red Dress Collection showcase during the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. The collection was presented by the American Heart Association and the Heart Truth to raise awareness on the number one killer among women: heart diseases. Cavallari walked the runaway sporting the diamond-studded jewelry for the show exclusively sponsored by Heart on Fire. Aside from the reality tv personality, other celebrities who participated at the event were Hoda Kotb, Laverne Cox, and Zendaya Coleman. Hearts on Fire epitomes the beauty and strength of diamond jewelry, a reflection of traits by modern women, who carry the burden of both raising a family, while maintaining an elegant lifestyle. Hearts on Fire is proud to be associated with a charity event that supports women.
