What to give people you hardly know?

Posted by Keller & George at 10:15:00 AM in Jay Strongwater (0)

Giving gifts is always a challenge when the recipient is an acquaintance or a not-so-close friend. You have little idea of his or her preference. Likewise, a VIP or really rich recipient poses a gift-giving problem: what else does he or she lack in material thing? Fortunately, you can swing this issue by going symbolic or nostalgic. Giving figurines for example allows you to make the most out of the maxim: “It’s the thought that counts.” Surely, a Jay Strongwater figurine will melt even the richest recipient or get the attention of someone whatever his or her interest. You have six themes to choose from, such as: Animals, Birds, Floral, Religious, Mini Figurines, and Luxe Figurines. Our favorite is the Stanton Fan Tail Peacock. It’s set in aluminium with a brass finish, hand-enameled and hand-set and accented with Swarovski crystal.

Why is diamond the stone for wedding rings?

Posted by Keller & George at 6:55:00 AM in Hearts on Fire (27)

Technically it can be any gemstones. In fact, ruby and sapphire are becoming a trend for wedding rings. However, traditionally, wedding rings feature diamond in most cases. Why? Logically, diamonds being the most expensive stone generally fit the role of the most precious gift one can give during the woman’s most precious day: her wedding. The couple having promised to stay loyal and in love with each other for the rest of their lives seals this precious promise with an equally precious symbol, the diamond ring. Likewise, the diamond is said to be the strongest material on earth; hence, it is only fitting that it symbolizes the bond that is meant to last forever. Lastly, diamonds are simply mesmerizing to look at. Its numerous facets—take Hearts On Fire, for instance—create dazzling fiery display, as if celebrating the grand event of the day.

Get that Coachella look

Posted by Keller & George at 12:00:00 PM in Halcyon Days (0)

Coachella 2016 reminds us of the hip and care-free days of lore. And none perhaps represents the Coachella style other than, no not Beyonce, but Vanessa Hudgens. The former High School Musical star is known to don a Coachella style from flash tattoos to floppy hats and fringe face paint. She also likes wearing cut-offs and floral crowns complemented by bindis. And of course, the toe rings are ever present. You need not be a Vanessa Hudgens to achieve the Coachella look during casual days; you can simply choose from a range of hand-painted bangles and enamel cuffs from Halcyon Days and match them with silk scarves or colorful loose clothing. You can choose Halcyon Days’s hinged bangles, friendship bangles, or hand-decorated bangles. For men, there are emblematic rings in gold, rose gold, or palladium finish.

The Most complicated Grainger-McCoy

Posted by Keller & George at 9:00:00 AM in Grainger-McCoy (3)

We take a look at a Grainger-McCoy gallery and easily our eyes catch the Sanderlings art work. It is perhaps the most complicated Grainger-McCoy birds-in-flight work that we’ve seen, consisting of fifteen birds in a flight motion (most Grainger-McCoy sculptures only have, at most, three birds).  The Sanderlings birds are captured flying in a single direction, mimicking flocks of sanderling taking flight by the coast. It evokes a sense of the outdoors, never mind if the material is basswood, metal, and oil paint. Such is the skill of the artist that this Grainger-McCoy work exhibits a dynamic motion. The sculpture is ideal for a study room accent or a center table décor. It can also work as a corner accent in the living room, where it can be subtly placed but surely to get attention.

Feel the countryside

Posted by Keller & George at 10:00:00 AM in Gien (0)

Add a countryside feel to your urban life with Gien’s Coquettes Collection. It features four myriad hen species with their plumage hand painted in watercolor. Each piece symbolizes the relaxed ambiance of the countryside, giving you a sense of the good life upon waking up. The Coquettes items lend to your breakfast a good morning even during rainy days or a nice evening even after a stressful day in work. It gives off a nostalgic air that’s reminiscent of mom serving milk with freshly baked bread and bacon and eggs. The collection includes four dinner plates, four dessert plates, four side flats, and two bottle coasters. It also includes mugs, bowls, egg cups, saucers, and serving trays.  It’s a good neutral gift idea for men and women, whether single or married.
