Weddings around the world

Posted by Keller & George at 10:00:45 AM in Mémoire Bridal (1)

Mémoire Bridal is a celebration of the sanctity of wedding, a vow made in heaven and meant to last a lifetime. Weddings are indeed one of the most symbolic events that transcends cultural boundaries. Let’s take a look at some of the most unique weddings in the world. In India, weddings are not a one-day event, but consist of a number of days starting with the Engagement Ceremony. Then you have the Mehendi Ceremony just before the wedding day. Jewish weddings, meantime, cannot be held on the Sabbath, their holiest day, unlike in Christian weddings which are usually on Sundays, their holiest days. In Japan, the bride wears a white hood that hides her “horn of jealousy” towards her mother in law. Also, the couple drinks sake to mark their union.

Wedding tips for the...groom!

Posted by Keller & George at 2:00:00 AM in Mémoire Bouquet Jewelry (1)

When we read wedding fashion tips we often come across helpful advice for the bride and her bridesmaids. Fair enough, since the wedding is supposed to be the woman’s big day when she’ll have the chance to showcase her Mémoire Bouquet Jewelry. But what of the groom? He, too, needs some tips on how to dress well. Check these simple but essential tips for the man to get married. One, don’t use a belt. Make your pants fit you right and remove those belt loops. The result is a neater, slicker you. Two, tie the bow tie; don’t use a pre-tied bow. It looks artificial. Three, be as natural as you. No need to get a new haircut if that will make you look different from the guy she falls in love with. Four, go for quality leather shoes because shoes say a lot about the wearer.

Which colored gemstones to buy?

Posted by Keller & George at 2:00:20 AM in Marco Moore (1)

Colored gemstones can break the monotony of wearing diamonds in gala occasions. If it’s your first time to consider colored gemstones, choosing which ones to buy can be daunting. For starters, you can go for the big three: ruby, sapphire, and emerald. These three can complement your look for a formal evening. As you get to build your colored gemstone collection, explore other colors. Think of rainbow colors. You can opt for yellow, red, pink, orange, green, purple, and blue. Having a range of colored gemstone options means you can wear any colored dress and have a gemstone to match it. Beyond the primary and secondary colors, you can also try the more exotic ones. These include brown and champagne colored stones. For colored gemstone collection check out Marco Moore.

Masai inspires Marco

Posted by Keller & George at 2:00:00 AM in Marco Bicego (26)

June is synonymous to weddings and to welcome the midseason Marco Bicego is releasing its latest designs. Marco Bicego, the owner was recently in Philadelphia to promote a new line of 18k yellow and white gold pieces called Masai. The name is consistent with the signature’s travel-inspired themes, which include previously released collections such as Jaipur, Marrakesh, and Milano. “The collection is inspired by ornaments worn by the African Masai Tribe. These ornaments demonstrated an incredible attention to detail, which resonated strongly with my approach to craftsmanship,” the owder-designer said. He revealed that the new collection’s style took inspiration from the curves of thin and tall frames of the Masai women. “Our Masai collection is made to adapt to the natural curves of the women who wear them.” The new Masai line is perfect as a bridal jewelry or wedding gift this season of church bells.
